Founder & CEO
Mike Crosby has been involved with the Veterans Administration as a volunteer and patient since leaving the US Navy in 2009. Through his annual physicals and persistent requests for prostate cancer screening, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the Phoenix VA in October of 2015. Crosby elected to seek treatment outside the VA system because he felt the options being offered at the Phoenix VA in 2015 were not the most current technology and not the best option.
In December 2016, Crosby formed Veterans Prostate Cancer Awareness Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization focused on raising awareness and educating our nation’s heroes about prostate cancer, the number one diagnosed cancer within the VA System. He holds a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and is a 1983 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School “TOPGUN” and the NATO Allied Air Forces Central Europe “Tactical Leadership Program.”
